One of the possible “Missing Links”?

Here is one of the fossils some scientists believe might be a “missing link” between higher primates (including ourselves) and other organisms. Studies are ongoing to try and confirm a direct ancestral relationship with humans, but the lead researcher believes it will be confirmed. I wonder what this thing looked like, they say it had thumbs and fingernails (instead of claws).

Oh and they named it Darwinius masillae, to celebrate its place of origin and the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Darwin. Very appropriate.

They seem to update it on a regular basis. WV is in the clear, and times like these are when I am grateful to live in a more rural community. Maybe the only time I am grateful.
